Our clinicians Success in Functional medicine begins with a strong team, with decades of experience. Today, Nordic Clinic consists of a cross-functional group of doctors, dietitians, nutritionists, health coaches, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, researchers and our patient educators. We believe this is the best way to support our patients on their own health journey.


Whilst our clinicians work individually with patients, we collaborate with each other behind the scenes as there may be different ways to work in different stages of the clinical journey. Additionally, we consult with colleagues and experts across the world both in clinical practice but also heads of research departments. Eg Karolinska Institute, Stockholm and Uppsala Universities. In addition, most of our clinicians help educate colleagues within the Functional Medicine discipline. .

Anne Catherine Færgemann, clinical dietitian and M.Sc. Nutritional Medicine

Anne Catherine is a clinical dietitian from Aarhus University in 2001. She also has a Master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine from Surrey University in England, 2013, specializing in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She is the author of the books “Healthy now – detoxification of body and soul” and “Is it something you have eaten?”. She has worked at Rigshospitalet (Danish National Hospital) with the specialties: anorexia, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal diseases.

Anne Catherine has practised Functional Medicine for more than 20 years, with a focus on nutrition and the use of laboratory analysis in relation to digestive problems, food reactions, hormonal disorders, autism, infections, fatigue, etc. She often sees patients with very complex symptoms, due to her many years of experience.

She teaches clinicians both at home and abroad, in the use of laboratory analysis from a nutritional perspective. In addition, she hosts webinars for professionals. Personally, she is passionate about everything that includes Functional Medicine, lives by the principles herself and is an avid yoga practitioner, including trained as a kundalini yoga and meditation teacher.

At the Nordic Clinic, a consultation with Anne Catherine will focus on lifestyle changes, especially the dietary part of your treatment, coupled with the use of dietary supplements for the treatment of biochemical disorders found on the basis of your laboratory analyzes. for podcast with Anne Catherine at Apple or Spotify

Dr. Nyjon Eccles, MD, Ph.D.

Dr Nyjon Eccles is one of the most respected doctors working with Functional Medicine in the UK. He has an innovative mindset and is therefore a forerunner in the use of more natural treatments.

Dr. Eccles holds a number of medical and academic qualifications; he is a medical doctor and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. Dr Eccles is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). 

Over the years, Dr Eccles has built up extensive experience in helping both men and women seeking access to a wider range of treatment and prevention options.

Dr. Eccles specializes in the treatment of breast problems in women, the treatment of menopausal symptoms, including the use of bioidentical hormones, as well as “Better Aging” programs and natural hair restoration (after developing a revolutionary effective treatment that is internationally patent pending).

Dr Eccles takes online consultations for the Nordic Clinic, via his clinic in Harley Street, London. Dr. Eccles speaks only English.

Dr. Rex Gloria, MD, MSc. Preventive Medicine

Dr. Rex is the pioneer of Longevity and Preventive Medicine in the Philippines, where he is a sought after doctor when it comes to bio-identical hormone replacement , weight loss, and stem cell programs and therapies. His diverse approach to wellness is brought about by two decades of helping nearly five thousand patients both in the Philippines and abroad using various tools and tests in the functional medicine paradigm.

Dr Rex has attained a Masters Degree in Preventive Medicine with distinction from the Dresden International University in 2013, presenting the beneficial effects of specific hormones and vitamins on cell differentiation of skin-derived stem cells. Furthermore, he was the recipient of the Best in Clinical Case at the 1st Anti-Aging and Beauty Trophy award during the AMEC convention in Paris after presenting a case study of a weight loss protocol using hormone and vitamin supplementations.

More recently over a three year submersion, Doctor Rex has mastered mindfulness and meditation practices in his approach to improving healthspan.

Daniela Seabra, clinical nutrition specialist, Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) certified and ReCODE (Bredesen protocol) practitioner

Daniela Seabra graduated in nutritional sciences at the University of Porto – Portugal, and has been working in the area of clinical nutrition since 2000, having attained a degree as a Specialist in Clinical Nutrition conferred by the Portuguese Nutritionists Association (Ordem dos Nutricionistas).

In 2004 she met Dr Cristina Sales, the first clinician using functional medicine in Portugal, and started working with her. She focused on how nutrition impacts Autism Spectrum Disorders and became certified by the Autism Research Institute in 2009. From 2016 she began work on cognitive decline, completing training with IFM and Dr Dale Bredesen (In 2022, in a further upskilling, she completed the ReCODE education again under Dr Bredesen). In 2018 she became the first Portuguese nutritionist certified by IFM, and in 2019 she joined Nordic Clinic Porto, where she is head of the nutrition department.

Her areas of interest include brain related disorders, namely neurodevelopmental disorders; neurodegeneration; fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome; anxiety; mood disorders; and brain function optimization. 

Since our knowledge results in a better and better understanding of how optimal –  gut function, hormonal function, immune function, vascular function, glycemic control, detoxification, energy production, and nutritional genomics is crucial in optimizing brain function, Daniela has continually upskilled her knowledge within all these areas.

She teaches clinical professionals in different courses and conferences in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Latin America, and teaches 2 masters courses at Portuguese Universities, and at the Spanish Society of Precision Health (Sociedad Española de Salud de Precisión).

At Nordic Clinic, a consultation with Daniela will focus on addressing the root causes of dysfunction. Implementing lifestyle and dietary changes – including the use of nutritional supplements from data gathered from different laboratory tests.
