At Nordic Clinic we carry out both internal and external research projects. For example, we are currently in collaboration with researchers from Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
At Nordic Clinic we are committed to qualifying how effective our interventions are. Every aspect of our working methods (lifestyle advice, interventions and treatments) is supported by published research. We carry out both in-house quality control, as well as external research projects. For example, we are currently involved with a clinical trial in conjunction with researchers from Karolinska Institute & Stockholm University in Sweden. The purpose of the study is to investigate whether our functional medicine approach can help patients suffering from chronic IBS and severely reduced quality of life. These patients have undergone standard examinations and treatments prescribed by gastroenterologists but have not experienced any improvement. The study’s results will be published in 2023.
The way we wish to promote health care research is less from a one size fits all approach and more towards a N=1 approach. Utilising a vast array of markers we understand better the characteristics of the individual patient and therefore the requirements to support them to attain a relief of symptoms, prevent disease, and optimise health.
